Social Worker - Child and Family Services (Prevention and Preventative Programming)
Under the direction and supervision of the Child and Family Services Director, the Social Worker is responsible for Crisis Intervention Work, creating, planning and implementation of preventive programs in the community, and act as an advocate for clients as well as any other Social Work related duties that arise. There will also be requirements for intake and investigation, Child and Adult Protection, Family support, assessment of Kinship and Foster Placements.
Must have a degree in Social Work from an accredited university.
Must meet the requirements to become a member of the NBASW.
Must maintain confidentiality on and off the job and in keeping case plans and records pertaining to clients.
Must be able to adapt one’s social work theory and practice skills to the culture of the Community to ensure quality and culturally appropriate service delivery is maintained.
