The Quality Specialist provides quality program support to Project Managers to ensure installations meet the requirements of the technical specifications. The Quality Specialist assumes a lead role in the implementation of quality programs and procedures to ensure that all employees and contractors are working in a quality manner by reducing or eliminating errors and substandard work.
Some of the key functions of this position are to:
Review vendor quality manuals, prepare or review Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), perform inspection of witness and hold points as well as perform quality audits. The Quality Specialist will conduct investigations, determine root causes and provide recommendations designed to minimize the likelihood of any reoccurrence.
Support and document improvements of internal Project Management Office processes and procedures including incorporation of lessons learned in respect to quality improvements.
